Change or cancel your plan
Everything about your subscription is in Settings → Subscription, and only the business owner sees it. This page says what each button does and when money moves, so there are no surprises.
The buttons and what they do
- 1
The trial
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Settings shows the date under “Trial ends”. A business gets one trial; it is not offered again after cancelling.
- 2
Upgrade
Under “Change plan”, click “Switch to Pro” (or Business). The billing page shows the amount before you confirm, and the new plan applies immediately.
- 3
Switch to annual
“Switch to annual” pays a year up front for two months free. The prorated amount is shown before you confirm.
- 4
Downgrade
A cheaper plan, or annual back to monthly, takes effect at the end of what you have already paid for — the button says “Switch to Basic at renewal”. Nothing is charged, no credit is created, and the plan card shows “Scheduled for” the date. You can cancel the scheduled change from the same card until then. If you have more locations than the lower plan allows, the change is refused until you remove some.
- 5
Cancel
Click “Manage billing”. It opens the secure billing page, where you can cancel the plan, update your card and download invoices. After cancelling, Settings shows “Your subscription ends on” the date, you keep full access until then, and a “Reactivate” button is there if you change your mind. Cancelling during the trial means nothing is ever charged.
After a subscription ends
Signing in takes the owner to plan selection; the dashboard, scanner and customers' passes are not available until a plan is active again. Choosing a plan then starts it straight away, without a new trial.
If a payment fails
You have 7 days from the end of the paid period. During that time everything keeps working and a banner shows the date access will pause. After it, only the billing page is reachable until the payment goes through.
Common questions
- Will I be charged if I cancel during the trial?
- No. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then means it never is.
- Do I get money back when I downgrade?
- The downgrade waits until the end of the period you have paid for, so there is nothing to refund and no credit is created. Our refund policy has the details.
- Who can change or cancel the plan?
- Only the business owner. Managers can edit the business profile but never see billing.
- Where do I update my card or download invoices?
- Settings → Subscription → “Manage billing”.
